Youtuber Of The Week

I’ve been mulling over doing this as a series for nigh on 6 months now but have never got around to it. Basically, if you don’t already know, Youtube is a fantastic source of gaming news, tutorials, commentaries, etc; the list is endless. So I thought it would be a good idea to point you in the direction of some Youtube channels that we have discovered via trawling through the internet.

If you like the video then be sure to subscribe to the channel we feature, to let the creators know that their work is appreciated. The more people subscribe, the more likely it will be that they continue to put out great content. Win-win, right?

Over the course of the series we will direct you to a mix of smaller and larger channels to help build your gaming subscription list.

Ideally we’re looking to put out one article per week but this week I will be posting two, just to see how well the series is received. Let’s get to it.

I’ve had this article in draft for a while, but I was talking to the Youtuber in question over on twitter, and, for lack of a better phrase, I didn’t want to make it look like I was kissing his arse. A few weeks have passed though, which reduces the appearance of a good arse-kissing. On that note, the first Youtuber we recommend you follow is Eldeniro90.

Mainly, Eldeniro90 is a Call of Duty commentator who creates a mixture of live  and general gameplay commentary over various Call of Duty game modes. In my opinion, his channel is one of the most underrated gaming channels on Youtube, especially with the seemingly unscripted nature of his videos. Recently Eldeniro hit 2000 subscribers, which is fantastic, but also deceptively low given the channels quality.

So what’s so good about the channel? Well, it’s hard to say. Some people just seem to have the knack of making things sound interesting. Whether he’s raising discussion topics and interacting with his fans on various issues with the Call of Duty franchise, whether he’s talking about his personal life and the difficulties he has had with modes of transport, or whether he’s just outright raging at someone camping, it all seems thoroughly interesting. We’ve made a few podcast’s here at Game Craic and I struggle to make interesting topics sound interesting, never mind the boring stuff I do during the day.

Another appealing factor is that he never bangs on about ‘likes’ or begs people to subscribe, which are factors that seem to plague a lot of Youtube channels of late. If you’re the type who likes to be more interactive with the Youtubers you follow, as far as I am aware, he also holds matches with some of his subscribers, but you’d have to contact him to find out more details about that.

Give his videos a watch, and if you enjoy, make sure you subscribe to his channel. Even if only one of our readers does this I’m sure it will be of some benefit to him. Plus, his videos will be a great addition to your subsription box… when they decide to show up in there.

Our next instalment of this series will be on Friday.
